PDK or Rehabilitation In Community is a specially tailored program for children with special needs.
The curriculum is designed to meet with these children's diverse needs.
The children are taught basic and daily skills like washing their hands, tie their shoe laces, wash
after going to the bathroom, dressing and even how to eat. In short, things that we, normal people often take for granted.
Class is five days a week, 8.00 a.m till noon. The concept is more or less the same like kindergarten whereby
these special and extraordinary children have time for break and playing time- indoor and outdoor.
Besides in-class activities like singing, sewing, drawing, colouring, PDK also organizes trip to other places.
Last year, these children were among the lucky ones for being chosen to go to Putraya to meet up with Malaysia's Deputy Prime
Minister's wife, Datin Seri Rosmah bt. Mansor. So, way to go PDK.
